Kathleen F. D. Pennington is a Senior Associate with Studebaker Nault who focuses her practice exclusively on health law.  She provides transactional and regulatory advice to a broad range of clients, including ambulatory surgery centers, single and multi-specialty medical and dental practices, and other health care providers and entrepreneurs.

Ms. Pennington works regularly with medical practices, including concierge practices, as well as individual physicians, surgeons, and other health care professionals, on a wide range of matters.  In addition to advising clients on their day-to-day operations, she also focuses on health care providers' strategic initiatives, including affiliations, joint ventures, service line expansion, provider compensation and recruitment, the establishment of membership practices, and other alignment strategies.  Ms. Pennington provides transactional and health care regulatory counseling for these matters as well as drafting and negotiating these agreements.  In the area of regulatory compliance, Ms. Pennington advises clients regarding fraud and abuse, risk management, licensing and scope of practice, and federal and state confidentiality and privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA breach investigations and reporting.
